Vazi Laundry ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed).
• Order data: pickup/delivery addresses, service preferences, garment care notes.
• Payment data: MoMo phone number, transaction references. We do not store full payment card details.
• Communication data: SMS and email logs for service notifications.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, session data.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Process and fulfill laundry orders.
• Send order confirmations, status updates, and invoices via SMS/email.
• Process payments via MTN MoMo.
• Improve our services and respond to support requests.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
• Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• MTN Rwanda — to process MoMo payments and send SMS notifications.
• SMTP providers — to send transactional emails.
• Staff — our team who fulfill your orders, limited to what they need.
• Legal authorities — when required by applicable Rwandan law.

4. Data Retention

• Account and order data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus 3 years for legal and financial records.
• Communication logs are kept for 12 months.
• You may request deletion of your account and data at any time (subject to legal retention requirements).

5. Security

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
• API credentials are encrypted in the database using AES-256.
• All admin actions are logged in an audit trail.
• HTTPS is enforced for all data in transit.
• Login brute-force protection and rate limiting are active.

6. Cookies & Session

We use session cookies solely to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from using authenticated features.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (account closure).
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
